Amazon has disclosed new guidelines for rejoining to work plans that stipulate it doesn’t scheme to ditch its offices anytime ASAP! Amazon expects some workers to rejoin the office in the early summer days. They have sent a memo to all remote employees on Tuesday.
This step clearly indicating that Amazon is not going to imitate or follow in the same footsteps that any other tech organizations are taking regarding employees rejoin plans. Most of the organizations are considering workers to continue remote working or work through a hybrid model. Organizations like Twitter, Microsoft, Square, Facebook, and Salesforce have been planned to extend the remote working process furthermore after the final ending of this pandemic.
In the memo, Amazon said to their employees that they are likely to open their older office-centric culture and return to offices soon. It helps employees to collaborate, learn, and invent together in the most effective manner. In Asia’s few Amazon offices, employees have already joined their respected offices. One report stated that approximately 10% of the private-sector population are attending daily office days.
It is expected by Amazon that this return and rejoining process will take longer and gradual time to complete. It will widely vary in different nations, which mostly depends upon the rate of successful vaccination and also on the infection figure. However, Amazon will carry the COVID-19 norms of social distancing, temperature screening, office occupancy limits, and wearing face masks during office hours.
